My Kalo Career

Shamirah Langford

Senior Administrator (BVI)

During my final year of my Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at the Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK, I applied to Kalo for a position as a Case Administrator and was given the opportunity to join the BVI office as a full time employee in September 2017. Since working here, the firm has encouraged me to complete my Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification via distance learning, whilst continuing to work full time. I am now nearing the completion of my studies and becoming a fully qualified Accountant.

Kalo has been very supportive in this journey, funding the cost of my training and providing me with paid study leave. Before joining Kalo, a specialism in insolvency was not a career path I had actually considered but I was eager to learn and have been doing so since the first day I started working and I find that there is always something interesting happening! I encourage other prospective candidates to join us here at Kalo. There are great opportunities awaiting you, both in terms of furthering your education and your career.
