Kalo is delighted to announce the appointment of Shamirah Langford, a Senior Administrator in the firm’s BVI office, as a board member of the Women’s Offshore Network (WON) in the BVI.

WON is a professional networking group for women working in the BVI financial services sector, and since it was established in 2014, has played an invaluable role in enhancing the status of women in the industry.

On her appointment, Shamirah said: “I am delighted to join the many other talented women in the BVI financial services industry on the board of WON this year. I look forward to assisting the group in supporting the continuation of professional development and networking opportunities for women, as we seek to enhance prospects and increase women’s participation within the local business community.”

Kalo’s BVI Managing Director, Charlotte Caulfield, who stepped down from the Board having served two years as its Chairperson, commented on Shamirah’s appointment: “I am so pleased to be handing the mantle to Shamirah on the WON board, and am delighted that Kalo will still have representation on the board of this invaluable organisation for women in our industry. I know Shamirah will bring her usual energy and acumen to this role and prove to be an invaluable asset to WON.”

Shamirah Langford joined Kalo in 2017 during the final year of her Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at the Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK.  She is employed as a Senior Administrator in Kalo’s BVI office.
